Re-launched in January 2010 by Rolex Series veteran Peter Baron, Starworks Motorsport's two-car Daytona Prototype team, is set to be among the fastest growing teams in the Rolex Series this year.

Starworks Motorsports team owner, Peter Baron, brings with him a phenomenal background of savvy businessman, successful entrepreneur and 20 years of motorsports experience as driver, manager and winning team owner. Since 2005, Peter Baron has enjoyed a rewarding relationship and managed some of the most recognized drivers on the planet including 4 former F1 drivers; Stefan Johansson, Allan Mc Nish, Olivier Beretta and Tomas Enge. Other international driver stars like Dario Franchitti, Ryan Hunter Reay, Patrick Carpentier, Mike Rockenfeller and Roger Yasukawa also drove for Baron's team. In 2007 Baron's team Samax, participated in 6 races of the Indy Car series including the Indianapolis 500 with female driver, Milka Duno. Milka also drove for Baron's team in the Rolex Series and scored with her teammates, a 2nd place finish in the 2006 Rolex 24 At Daytona, the best finish in a major sports car race for a female driver.

Baron, whose team is the last BMW team to have won a Rolex Series race, has an exceptional vision for the sport of racing. During the winter he assembled a "dream team" with a roster that includes some of the most talented engineering staff in endurance racing. Race-winning team principal Baron is leading the Starworks Motorsport team with one of his key hires, Bill Riley, from Riley Technologies as the team's race engineer. In addition, Simon Morley, former Michael Schumacher F1 chief mechanic, joined as team manager, bringing with him the experience of winning championships in both Formula One and Indy Car where he won an Indy car title with Sam Hornish. The majority of Starworks Motorsport team members have been working with Peter Baron for 5 years and all have extensive experience in F1, Indy Car, and Audi Le Mans program and more.

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in a state-of-the-art facility, Starworks Motorsport has what it takes to win races and championships. Starworks Motorsport is entering two BMW Riley Daytona Prototypes in the 2010 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Presented by Crown Royal Cask No.16.

On the driver's side Starworks has hired a strong driver's line-up for the 2010 season. Rolex Series race winner and 2010 Rolex 24 At Daytona champion, Ryan Dalziel, will co-drive with a promising Rolex Series Rookie of the year contender, Mike Forest. Dalziel and Forest will co-drive the # 8 Starworks Motorsport BMW Riley.

Former NASCAR driver, Bill Lester, one of the most accomplished African American drivers in the world and a Rolex Series veteran, will co-drive the # 7 Starworks Motorsport BMW Riley with a driver to be announced soon.

Starworks Motorsport has selected the Dinan BMW engine and a Riley chassis to compete in the 2010 Rolex Series. The Riley chassis has won the last 6 Rolex Series championships, 64 race wins and 71 pole positions since 2004. Baron's team has enjoyed a rewarding relationship with the BMW brand since 2008 and the Dinan BMW engine combined with a Riley chassis has already proven to be a race winning package and is ready to win again with Starworks and its drivers.

Baron's team is the last Rolex Series DP organization to have taken the BMW colors to an overall victory at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, California in 2008.
